There are many popular kitesurfing spots in Europe. Everyone will find something for themselves, both beginners and advanced kitesurfers.
Where to kitesurf in Europe?
One of the popular spots is Tarifa in Spain. This is the place where one of the most popular kitesurfing competitions takes place – the GKA Kite World Cup. The season runs from April to November there. We can expect strong winds and large waves.
Another European destination worth visiting is Fuerteventura. It is a place which charms can be enjoyed all year round, but the most reliable months are June, July and August, where it blows almost every day. There you will find places with both flat and wavy water.
Sicily is also a good idea for a European kite trip. The most popular spot there is Lo Stagnone with flat, shallow and warm water. It is an ideal place for beginner kitesurfers, not too strong wind combined with warm water are ideal conditions for pleasant lessons.
Another suggestion is Rhodes (Greece), where you’ll find Prasonisi – a spot with a wide sandy beach and the wind that never ends. The best months to go there are June – October.
